A quiet little school that began upstairs in a home — built around one belief: that children, given the right environment, become joyful, independent learners.
Merlin's Montessori was started by Merlin George with a simple idea — that the gentlest place for a child's first years of learning is a real home, with real warmth.
Located in the upstairs of our family home in Chala, the school is small by design. Smaller groups, calmer days, more time for each child to be seen, heard, and helped. Children walk in as guests and quickly come to feel it as their own.
We follow the Montessori approach because it trusts children. Given a thoughtfully prepared environment and a patient guide, even our youngest learners surprise us — pouring, sorting, reading, writing — quietly building the foundations for a lifetime.
